In the late 1970’s, Márcia started working with education and started preparing herself for the moment her dream would come true: the moment in which she would have her own school. Then, in 1993, with limited space and structure, and in her own house, she started a school. The respect and credibility she once had conquered working in other institutions helped her begin with great success.
The first 120 students rapidly became more numerous as soon as the school was open, proving that that new school would provide significant gains to students and anyone who would become a part of its routine.
Our student is bilingual! Here at Colégio Opção students start having contact with Bilingual Education in Preschool, and it goes until the end of Middle School. We believe in an educational process that stimulates students to aim at higher challenges, being able to connect efficiently with the world. This is essential these days, considering that information is commonly spread all around the globe through the internet, and more than half of the information is in English. Being a student at Colégio Opção is being connected to the world!
Being self-confident and being able to cope with your emotions is a big challenge these days. Data show a growing number of mental diseases all around the globe. At Colégio Opção, we help students understand and deal with routine matters and we also teach them how to develop autonomy and self-management. Our students are different!
Most of the situations we face in modern times have to do with behavioral issues, mostly concerning our inability to have attitudes that will increase our level of competence for dealing with problems. Proactive attitudes such as being committed, persisting and creating personal networking can all be worked on with students. At Colégio Opção, students can learn how to do it. Here, students can also transform technical skills into practical ones during entrepreneurship classes. Entrepreneurship is practical learning!
